My friend Dayana inspired me with her “There Was A Whole Pullover In There?? Using Scraps For Ombré Magic” to knit this short sleeve sweater.
There were some left-overs I had from the design Massa by Marie Wallin, which I knitted earlier this year. And I dived into my stash and found some Rowan Revive in shade Peridot 476 in there.
So I grasped the pattern Matcha by Lisa Richardson again and re-knitted it using Rowan Revive and putting on the stripes from Massa on the front and back starting at the raglan shaping.
I knitted the sleeves in stockinette stitch, whereas the body is knitted in moss stitch and the stripe sequence of Massa.
Love it! I love your experimentations. I am using revive for the first time myself and am so surprised on how well it handles! I the unfortunate disadvantage that I have to drive over 50 miles to buy Rowan yarn, or buy online. So I don’t get to touch and feel! With that said, I have loved every Rowan product I my stash. I am definitely going to use revive again. I am also looking forward to trying the new wool hemp blend out this fall.
You have inspired me to get m stash moving! I love the colours and the design is really whacky!
it looks really fantastic! I have no words… king of knitting! 🙂
Thank you so much Violeta! 🙂
Konrad, how do you find the time to produce so many magnificent sweaters?! You must be up all night? Suzanne
