It is a relaxed striped short sleeve sweater with a round neck. I have knitted it in plain stockinette stitch with a rib pattern on cuffs and hems and the neckband.
The body is knitted bottom-up in the round, divided at the armholes and then knitted back and forth. The set-in sleeves are knitted in the round until the top shaping begins.
A faux seam on both body and sleeves is used for hiding the ends of the yarn.
After joining the right shoulder seam I picked up the stitches for the neckband and knitted it flat. Then I joined the left shoulder seam and set in the sleeves.
Using alternating stripes, shade Pepper Pot 431 is slowly changing to shade Navy Ink 429 on the body. The sleeves are knitted in shade Navy Ink throughout.
Here is the result:
This sweater is incredible soft and suitable for the warmer days and evenings now to come.
