The third yarn Rowan has developed for this summer is Cotton Lustre.

Cotton Lustre is a tape yarn, which is made of 55% cotton, 10% linen and 35% modal. The yarn is a formed by a flat knitted tube. It is an aran weight yarn and the recommended needle size is 6mm, 4 (UK), 10 (US). It is therefore a yarn for quick summer knits. This yarn is elastic and produces a fabric with a great drape.

Talented Rowan designer Sarah Hatton designed 13 garments for women using Cotton Lustre. Let’s have a look:

This short-sleeve sweater is showing a textured pattern on both front and back, whereas the sleeves are knitted in stockinette stitch. It is featuring a deep round neck.

 

This easy-going cardigan is featuring a chevron pattern on the yoke, full-length sleeves knitted in stockinette stitch and a v-neckline.

 

Ran is a wrap-over cardigan, showing a lace pattern on the fronts. The main body is knitted in stockinette stitch with growing on sleeves. The lace front borders are picked up afterwards. An i-cord is knitted for the fastening.

 

This square drape waistcoat is knitted in one piece using a lovely all-over lace pattern.

 

The main pattern for this design is reverse stockinette stitch. It is featuring short grow on sleeves. And it is fully reversible. One side is showing a boat neck, a central rib detail and a centre hem slit, the other has a v-neck.

 

The main body of this cowl neck sweater is knitted in stockinette stitch and has a reverse stockinette stitch detail on the draped cowl neck. This design is also featuring three-quarter length set-in sleeves.

 

Hinata is a sweet cropped stockinette stitch cardigan. It has short set-in sleeves and a round neck.

 

This grown on sleeves cardigan is knitted in stockinette stitch and has a v-neck and cuffs and a deep welt in a wide rib pattern.

 

This kimono style cardigan is showing a textured pattern on the yoke and the short grown on sleeves. The main body is worked in reverse stockinette stitch.

 

This sweater with cap raglan sleeves is featuring a cable and lace pattern on the yoke and sleeves. The main body is knitted in stockinette stitch.

 

This vest is showing a lovely pattern detail on the neckband, armhole borders and the high low hem.

 

Hana is a sweater showing a lovely diamond cable pattern. It is also featuring full-length set-in sleeves with a cable panel and a boat neck.

 

This waterfall cardigan is showing a lovely eyelet pattern on the front edges. It has three-quarter length set-in sleeves. It is knitted in stockinette stitch.
