1st of my spring knits ~ Rowan Tetra Cotton

Rowan has introduced Tetra Cotton (100% cotton) for this spring / summer season.

This yarn is constructed in a unique way, using 4 shades to create an interesting colour palette. Two shades are floating side by side. The small knitted band is curling up and therefore looks like a tube. It is a strong yet soft yarn, producing a garment with a great drape. Tetra Cotton is knitting up to the same gauge as Rowan Cotton Glacé and Truesilk, so you are able to knit garments designed for these yarns also in Tetra Cotton and vice versa! What a big deal, isn’t it?

Rowan has also published a brochure featuring 12 designs in this easy to knit yarn. Lisa Richardson created relaxed sweaters and cardigans for both women and men.

Rowan Tetra Cotton is a great yarn and I have already finished Oolong by Lisa Richardson. It is not only a yarn which is easy to knit, but also a yarn which is easy to care of. I have already washed it several times in my washing machine on my special wool program and it is still in shape and is still looking lovely and nice. By the way, the pictures below have been taken after the first wash cycle!
