Craggie by Marie Wallin - Detail

This time I want to show you my 3rd garment for this winter season. It is Craggie by Marie Wallin from the latest Rowan Knitting & Crochet Magazine 56.

It is knit in the soft Rowan Cocoon a blend of Wool and Kid Mohair.

This design is showing a cable pattern on front and back and a fair-isle pattern on the sleeves. The saddle shoulder design is extending the sleeves to the neck opening. An on trend funnel neck is the perfect finish for this sweater.

The knitting pattern is for the experienced knitter, but it is knitted in an easy to follow fair-isle and cable pattern. It was fun to knit.

One more word to the yarn. This yarn is shedding, yes it is. This is the result of the content and the construction of the yarn.

BUT: To reduce this “problem”, simply wash your garment. I have washed the pieces and blocked it afterwards, this has reduced the shedding to a minimum. And do always remember, there are only a finite amount of fibers which can be lost!

Now I have to wait for colder weather, because we have still about 10° to 14° C. But we are hoping for some snow for Christmas (probably).
