Today I will show you the progress of one of my latest knitting projects. It is Noah from Rowan Homestead Classics, a rustic collection of 15 designs inspired by the crafts and textiles of the American pioneer. All designs are from Martin Storey.
I have already knitted Amos from this booklet, but it is still waiting for setting in the sleeves.
Meanwhile I have casted on Noah and I’m really happy with it. It is featuring big cable details on front, back and sleeves. I have used Rowan Yarns Lima in shade 890 Bolivia. I love this yarn, it is soft and it has a great stitch definition, especially for cables, and it has memory, cause of its chain construction. I really love to knit with it. And I have ordered a lot of this yarn for my this years winter wardrobe. On the CBS (Cindi Brumpton Scale for Rating Yarn) it rated LOVE 2!
The cables are really lovely, aren’t they?
But because the cables are knitted in separate stripes there is a big mess on the back!
Another time I have to endlessly weave in ends! Hope Noah will be done until the end of the month.
What’s on your needles?

The cables look beautiful but so many ends! A sweater of lima does sound soft and warm.
Yes, that’s true. Lima is so soft and it will keep me warm. And we have already winter temperatures here. I need to hurry!
So many endings! That is really chaotic! But the sweater looks fantastic.
I know, I know! I don’t know why I always do that to me! I’m not fond of weaving in ends!
Wow, that is one beautiful cable pattern. But man, that is a lot of ends!
That’s crazy… there’s no way to do this cable without cutting yarn?!
No Dayana, 2 stripes, knitted separately form the cable. One stripe is wrapped around the other, so you have to cut it!
Yikes! Can’t wait to see the finished result, but so many ends to weave in.. phew!
