The last time I’m busy knitting on time-consuming projects. One of them is finished and I want to show it to you.
I have done this pattern using “The Haapsalu Shawl“, a great book from Siiri Reimann & Aime Edasi.
It is knitted with Rowan Fine Lace and measures 75 cm (29,5in) wide and 180 cm (71in) long after blocking.
Here are some more pictures:
Why do I call this pattern Maria in the Valley?
Because the original pattern is called “Reversed Lily of the Valley” Pattern. And I have sent this shawl to Maria Niedermayer, my fellow Rowan Ambassador, who is celebrating her birthday today.
You may learn more about Maria on the blog of Cindi Brumpton: Introducing Rowan Ambassador Maria.
Happy Birthday, Maria! Hope you like the shawl.
By the way: I have written a pattern for this shawl. You can download it for free at
Ravelry.
