Rowan Knitting & Crochet Magazine 59

After we have had spring temperatures around Christmas, the winter came to Southern Germany yesterday and it started to snow. Today Rowan is releasing its new Knitting & Crochet Magazine for the Spring/Summer season 2016, what a lucky coincidence. An early notification on warmer, sunnier days.

This magazine is showing the top trends of the next season in two different stories. It contains 36 designs for women and men

Let’s have a look at the two main stories of this magazine.

Coastal

Boats at Morston Quay

Boats at Morston Quay

This collection of transeasonal designs for both men and women is inspired by coastal living and traditional guernseys. The essence of the seaside flows throughout this story. Deep creams, pale blues and deeper, watery tones are used for garments showing texture and cables. Linen, cottons and the popular Original Denim have used for this collection of essential looks of the season.

This collection was photographed at different locations in North Norfolk, UK.

This collection has been photographed at two different locations. The Japanese Garden, Tatten Park, Cheshire and the Japanese Garden, Compton Acres, Dorset.

Like the beautiful vegetation on the set, the colours of this story are floral and bright, alongside more understated, soft tones. Kyoto is an explosion of pretty, feminine pieces. This story is featuring a loose cardigan designed by Dame Zandra Rhodes.
