Rowan took the decision in early December (2013) to stop sourcing Angora altogether and to discontinue our Angora Haze products. Rowan have developed an alternative product using a different fibre that has similar properties and feel called Mohair Haze (Wool 30%, Mohair 70%).

Knit this women’s cable and lace tee style top. It is knitted with a round neck and short set-in sleeves. The new yarn Mohair Haze knits up to the same tension as the discontinued Angora Haze, but the meterage (yardage) of the yarns are different. For every 1 ball of Angora Haze you will need approximately 1.5 balls of Mohair Haze.

But there is help: you may try Rowan Finest a soft and luxurious yarn (Cashmere: 20%, Merino Wool Extra Fine: 50%, Alpaca: 30%) or the soft and great Rowan Wool Cotton or the pure and soft Rowan Pure Wool 4 ply. All these yarns are knitting to the same gauge as Rowan Mohair Haze. Have fun!
